Search Tips

You can use wildcards (*) to help you search (except for Mixed Commodities). The following are some examples to help you search for commodities (using Pears as an example).

Using the * wildcard

If you want to find commodities with a common beginning, enter the beginning text followed by an *. E.g., The search results for the Common Name pear* will include: Pear, Pear hawthorn and Pearlberry.

If you want to find commodities with a common ending, enter the * followed by the ending text. E.g., The search results for the Common Name *pear will include: California pricklypear, Pricklypear, and Texas pricklypear.

If you want to find commodities with a common beginning and ending, enter the beginning text, followed by the *, followed by the ending text. E.g., The search results for the Common Name p*pear will include: Plains pricklypear, Pricklypear and Purple pricklypear.

If you want to find every combination of a commodity, enter the * before and after your text. E.g., The search results for the Common Name *pear* will include every commodity with the word pear in it.

Please note, search text is not case sensitive.
