Commodity Origin Text

PCIT enables you to identify the origin of a commodity in the following steps:

On the Add/Update Commodity Summary page, you can select the commodity origin from the Commodity Origin drop-down list. Options include "All Other States" or a specific State name. You can also click the View State's Counties button to select a specific county (the Select All link is also available).

2.	The Additional Origin Text field is a drop-down box where you can select from a list of pre-defined selections, including "Regulated Areas" or "Unregulated Areas". RESULT: The selected text automatically populates the Enter any additional text below field. You can edit the selection or add to it.

NOTE: Regulated areas are any quarantined State, or any portion thereof, designated as a regulated area in § 301.80-2a or otherwise designated as a regulated area in accordance with § 301.80-2(b).

3.	You can add free text regarding the origin in the Enter any additional text below field.

4.	Click the Add Origin button to add the commodity origin text. RESULT: The information displays in the Selected Origins field.

NOTE: To remove a selected origin from the Commodity Summary, uncheck the corresponding checkbox.
