Update User Messages

To add, update, or delete user messages, complete the following steps:

 

1.Select the PExD Administration link from the left menu.
RESULT:  The PExD Administration page appears.

 

2.From the Select a PExD Administrative Function drop-down list, select User Messages.
RESULT:  The PExD Administration: Search User Messages page appears.

 

3.To search for a message, in the Message Start Date Range box select a date range using the calendar pop ups and click the Search button.
RESULT:  The information meeting the search criteria displays in the table and includes the Message, Country, Start Date, and End Date.

 

4.To update an existing message, click the corresponding Update button.
RESULT:  The PExD Administration:  Manage User Messages page displays.  User messages will be displayed in a designated box labeled Messages located on the View Country Information page.  Make updates as needed.

 

5.To add a new message, click the Add New Message button.
RESULT:  The PExD Administration:  Manage User Messages page displays.

 

6.Enter the information for your message.  If desired, select the country associated with the message, otherwise the message will be designated as 'General'.  Items marked * are required.
a)Message Start Date:* Select the message start date using the calendar pop up.
b)Message Expiration Date:* Select the message expiration date using the calendar pop up.
c)Country:  Select the country or country group using the drop-down list.
d)Message Text:* Enter the message text.  You can use the toolbar to format the text.
e)Select the desired Message Audience radio button (All, ECS and Above, or Government User).
f)Click the Save button.
RESULT:  The message update is saved and you are returned to the PExD Administration page.

 

7.To return to the PExD Administration page, click the Back button.
