To complete the Commodities table for a Cattle Certificate, do the following:

All required fields are indicated with a red asterisk (*) next to the label in the column header.  Testing requirements may change based on the Sex of the specific animal.  VEHCS will indicate fields are required or not required by displaying or removing the field or removing the field in the animal's row.

 

NOTE:  Mother's identification must be provided if testing is not performed on the newborn.

a)Row # is automatically pre-populated.
b)Enter Ear Tag identification.
c)Select the Breed/Category from the drop-down list.  Use “Other” and enter the details if the breed/category is not in the list.
d)Enter Other ID/Tattoo identification.  This is an optional field.
e)Enter the Age (Months).
f)Select the Sex from the drop-down list (Castrated Male, Female, Male, Spayed Female).
g)If the animal is a newborn calf, enter the row number that corresponds to the Mother in the Mother's Row #.
h)Enter Additional Description as needed.
i)Enter the Tuberculosis Test Read Date. The date format should be entered as mm/dd/yyyy.
j)Enter the Brucellosis Test Used, the Test Date 1 and the Test Date 2.  The date format should be entered as mm/dd/yyyy.
a)Enter the Anaplasmosis Test Used and the Test Date.  The date format should be entered as mm/dd/yyyy.

Remember to save your data periodically, especially when entering large number of commodities.
