Update Definitions

Definitions and terms are used by the importing country for official phytosanitary purposes, in phytosanitary legislation and regulations, as well as for official information exchange.

To add, edit, or delete a definition, complete the following steps:

1.	Select the Update Country Information link from the menu at the left side of the screen.

2.	Select the country you would like to update information on.

3.	You can either select Country-Specific Data on the Update Country Information page or select the Country-Specific Data link from the menu at the left side of the screen. RESULT: The Country-Specific Data page appears.

4.	Click the Definitions link. RESULT: The Update Definitions page displays.

5.	Select the First Letter of Definition Term from the drop-down list and click the Search button. RESULT: A list of definitions that meet the search criteria appear below the search text.

6.	When adding new definitions, the entries will be displayed in the table. To add a new definition, complete the following information under the Add/Edit Definition heading:

a)	In the Definition Term box, enter the term.

b)	In the Description box, enter the description details. You can use the toolbar to format the text.

c)	Click the Save button. RESULT: The definition displays in the table.

You can edit an existing definition by clicking its corresponding Edit button. To narrow the results, select the first letter of the definition term(s) to display. These definitions are accessed from the View Country Information page.
RESULT: The definition displays under the Add/Edit Definition heading. Update the information as needed and click the Save button.

8.	To cancel your edits, click the Cancel Edit button. RESULT: The Update Definitions page reappears with the Add/Edit Definition information blank.

9.	To delete a definition, select the corresponding checkbox you wish to delete, or click the Select All link. Click the Delete Selected button. Then click the Save button. RESULT: The entries will be removed from the table.
