View Country Information

The View Country Information page displays the following message:

"Welcome to the Phytosanitary Export Database (PExD) System. PExD contains phytosanitary import requirements of U.S.-origin commodities to foreign countries. This information may be retrieved by users with access to Phytosanitary Certificate Issuance & Tracking (PCIT)."

There is also a field that displays user Messages specific to a country or country group. To update this field as you work, click the Refresh Messages button.

To view country information, complete the following steps.

1.	Select the View Country Information link on the navigation bar. RESULT: The View Country Information page displays.

NOTE: Only countries with completed information are listed.

2.	Select the country you would like to view information on from the Country drop-down list. This is a required field. RESULT: The View Country Information page reappears with types of information you can view.

3.	Select the type of information you would like to view on the selected country. RESULT: The information will display on a new page.

The type of Country Information you can view includes the following:

Commodity: View individual commodity summaries.

Foreign Points of Contact: View the National Plant Protection Organization contact information for the importing country. Generally, requests for import permits are directed to this organization.

Harmful Organisms: View a list of injurious pests as specified by the importing country.

Definitions: View the definitions and terms which are used by the importing country for official phytosanitary purposes.

Points of Entry: View a list of airports, seaports and land border points officially designated for the importation of consignments as provided by the importing country.

General Requirements: View general phytosanitary information provided by the importing country which does not pertain to specific commodities.

Supporting Documents: View Supporting Documents for a specified country; this includes work plans or other documentation provided by the foreign country.
