The Foreign Points of Contact includes the National Plant Protection Organization contact information. Generally, requests for import permits are directed to this organization. Information will be viewable to all PExD users.
To add, edit, or delete a foreign point of contact, complete the following steps:
1. | Select the Update Country Information link from the menu at the left side of the screen. |
2. | Select the country you would like to update information on. |
3. | You can either select Country-Specific Data on the Update Country Information page or select the Country-Specific Data link from the menu at the left side of the screen.
RESULT: The Country-Specific Data page appears. |
4. | Click the Foreign Points of Contact link.
RESULT: The Update Foreign Points of Contact page displays. |
5. | Enter the Foreign Point of Contact information in the fields below the Foreign Contact box. |
NOTE: Upon save, the system will verify that at a minimum, the following data combinations have been entered:
1. First Name & Last Name and/or 2. Title and/or 3. Agency/Department
and
1. Mailing Address (Street Address and/or City and/or State/Territory/Province and/or Postal Code) and/or 2. Phone and/or 3. E-Mail
Foreign Points of Contact are accessed from the View Country Information page and the bottom of Commodity Summaries.
6. | To add a new foreign point of contact, in the Add/Edit Foreign Point of Contact section complete the following information: |
a) | Prefix: Title that precedes the name (for example, Mr., Mrs., Ms., Miss and so forth). |
b) | First Name: First name of the point of contact. |
c) | Middle Initial: First letter of the middle name of the point of contact. |
d) | Last Name: Last name of the point of contact. |
e) | Title: Job title of the point of contact. |
f) | Agency/Department: The agency and/or department of the point of contact. |
g) | Street Address: The point of contact's street address. |
h) | City: The point of contact's city. |
i) | State/Territory/Province: State/Territory/Province in which the point of contact is located. |
j) | Postal Code: Postal code of the point of contact's address. The zip code can be five-digits or nine-digits. |
k) | E-Mail: The point of contact's e-mail address. |
l) | Phone: Ten-digit telephone number includes the area code. |
m) | Fax: The point of contact's fax number. |
n) | Website: The point of contact's website. |
o) | Additional Contact Information: Other information not already captured about the point of contact. |
7. | Click the Save button.
RESULT: The foreign point of contact information displays in the table. |
8. | To edit a foreign point of contact, click its corresponding Edit button.
RESULT: The foreign point of contact information displays under the Add/Edit Foreign Point of Contact heading. Update the information as needed and click the Save button. |
9. | To cancel your edits, click the Cancel Edit button.
RESULT: The Update Foreign Points of Contact page reappears with the Add/Edit Foreign Point of Contact information blank. |
10. | To delete a foreign point of contact, select the corresponding checkbox you wish to delete, or click the Select All link. Click the Delete Selected button. Then click the Save button.
RESULT: The entries will be removed from the table. |
