Update General Requirements

General Requirements include phytosanitary information provided by the importing country which do not pertain to specific commodities.  Information will be viewable to all PExD users.

 

To add, edit, or delete a general requirement, complete the following steps:

1.Select the Update Country Information link from the menu at the left side of the screen.
2.Select the country you would like to update information on.
3.You can either select Country-Specific Data on the Update Country Information page or select the Country-Specific Data link from the menu at the left side of the screen.
RESULT:  The Country-Specific Data page appears.

 

4.Click the General Requirements link.
RESULT:  The Update General Requirements page displays.
5.When adding new general requirements, the entries will be displayed in the table.
You can edit an existing general requirement by clicking its corresponding Edit button.
These general requirements are accessed from the View Country Information page.
6.When adding new general requirements, the entries will be displayed in the table. To add/edit a new general requirement, complete the following information under the Add/Edit General Requirement section:

a) In the Requirement Type drop-down box, select the appropriate requirement type.  This is a required field.  Requirement types include Additional Information, Prohibited Products, Restricted Products, or Unrestricted Products.

b) In the Requirement Title drop-down box, select a requirement title or enter text in the free text box.

c) In the Standard Documentation Requirement drop-down box, select one of the following:

 Phytosanitary Certificate (PC) is required.
 Phytosanitary Certificate (PC) and Import Permit (IP) are required.

 Phytosanitary Certificate (PC) and Import Permit (IP) are required.  Do not certify unless IP is presented.

 Commodity is prohibited.  Do not certify unless an Import Permit (IP) is presented.

 Commodity is unrestricted.
 

Or enter a Description in the free text field.

 

7.Click the Save button.
RESULT:  The general requirement displays in the table.

 

8.You can edit an existing general requirement by clicking its corresponding Edit button.  These general requirements are accessed from the View Country Information page.
RESULT:  The point of entry displays under the Add/Edit Point of Entry heading.  Update the information as needed and click the Save button.

 

9.To delete a general requirement, select the corresponding checkbox you wish to delete, or click the Select All link.  Click the Delete Selected button.  Then click the Save button.
RESULT:  The entrie will be removed from the table.
