View Commodity

You can view all active Commodity Summaries for a specified country, commodity, part, and origin.

Commodity Summaries include the commodity scientific name, commodity part(s), and documentation requirements such as Phytosanitary Certificates or Import Permits. Commodity summaries may also include supporting documents, treatment information, additional declarations, additional information, notes to the exporter, and foreign contact information.

1.	Select the View Country Information link on the navigation bar. RESULT: The View Country Information page displays.

2.	Select the country you would like to view information on from the Country drop-down list. This is a required field. RESULT: The View Country Information page reappears with types of information you can view.

3.	Click the Commodity link. RESULT: The Commodity page for the specified country displays.

4.	Enter the commodity botanical name to find the Commodity Summary for your specified country. Click here for search tips on finding your specific commodity. Items marked * are required.

NOTE: You must use the botanical name of the commodity you wish to find. To view all commodity summaries listed for the country enter *. Only commodities with data will be displayed.

NOTE: Use singular commodity names in the commodity search field (for example, “apple” not “apples”). The search text can contain letters, numbers, spaces, a period (.), a comma (,), an apostrophe (‘), a dash (-) and must be 2 to 51 characters in length. The wildcard (*) can also be used; select the search tips link for more information on using the wildcard. When you enter an asterisk in the search text, the system will display only the commodities for which there are existing commodity summaries for the selected country.

5.	Click the Search button. RESULT: The commodities meeting the Search criteria are listed.

NOTE: The following link is available as needed, "If the commodity you are looking for is not returned, click here to view General Requirements link can be used."

6.	Select the commodity by clicking the corresponding Select One radio button. RESULT: Only the part(s) relevant to the selected commodity display.

7.	Select the appropriate Part (the name of the plant part that best describes the commodity) checkbox, or click the Select All link.

NOTE: The part list will not display until you have selected the commodity you want to view. The system will display only the part names which have summaries associated with the selected commodity. If there are no summaries available for the selected commodity, a message will display and you will be directed to the General Requirements page. You can also click the If the part you are looking for is not returned, click here to view General Requirements link.

8.	Click the appropriate Origin, or click the Select All link.

9.	Click the View Commodity Summary button. RESULT: The Commodity Summary page displays the commodity part(s), a link for Click Here to view General Requirements, and a link for the Export Certification Specialists List.

NOTE: When a Commodity Summary is searched, the corresponding Genus and Family Commodity Summary can be displayed on separate pages using the links provided on the Commodity Summary page. For example, Citrus reticulata is a member of the Citrus spp. genus and the Rutaceae family. The Genus name and Family name would be links to the Commodity Summary of genus and family respectively.
