Enter Additional Declarations (ACO)

To add or update Additional Declarations information for an application, complete the following steps:

 

1.Locate the application to add Additional Declarations using the link in the in the Messages box on the Welcome page, by Accessing Applications via Workload.

 

2.Click the Process button next to the desired application.
RESULT:  The Application Details page of the Application Step by Step pages appears.

 

3.Select the Additional Declarations link at the left side of the screen.
RESULT:  The Additional Declarations page appears.

 

NOTE:  If additional declaration information has already been added to the application, it will be displayed in the editable text field in the middle of the screen.

 

Additional Declarations

4.To enter an AD directly from PExD, complete the following steps:

a) Click PExD Import Tool to import commodity-based additional declarations from PExD.
   RESULT:  The PExD Additional Declaration Import Tool page appears.

b) PExD can be searched by clicking on the View PExD button.
   RESULT:  The Phytosanitary Export Database (PExD) page appears displaying the View Country Information page.

c)Select one or more additional declaration(s) and click Save to automatically populate the Additional Declaration based on Commodity Summary section.

   RESULT:  The Commodity Summary page appears.

d) At the bottom of the Commodity Summary page, select the Click Here to View General Requirements List link.  For all all commodities to all countries, ACOs should review requirements under View Country Information, Commodity from the left menu.

 

5.You may also select a standard statement.  To add a standard PCIT Additional Declaration, select the Additional Declaration text from the drop-down list.
a)Click the Add button.
RESULT:  The AD text appears in the editable text field.
b)Edit the text as required for certifying the application commodity (ies).

 

6.To enter an AD, then type in the desired Additional Declaration in the editable text field.

 

7.To update an existing Additional Declaration, then edit the Additional Declaration in the editable text field.

 

 

Additional Official Phytosanitory Information

8.To facilitate re-exports, additional phytosanitary measures that were conducted in the US may be entered.

a) Click the Harmful Organism Selection Tool button to select harmful organisms to be entered under Lab Test, Field Inspection, Pest Free Area, Does Not Occur in U.S. and/or Visual Inspection.

   RESULT: A new page opens displaying the Harmful Organism Selection Tool.  Organisms are displayed under each category in alphabetical order.

b)  Select the harmful organisms associated with the country(ies) by clicking the corresponding checkbox under Lab Text, Field Inspection, Pest Free Area, Does Not Occur in U.S ,and/or Visual Inspection.  Use the tabs        to view by harmful organism type (for example, Bacteria, Fungi, Insects, and so forth).

c)  To narrow the results, you can also search for the organism by selecting the appropriate letter from the First Letter of Organism Name drop-down box.

d)  Click the Add button to automatically populate the Additional Official Phytosanitary Information Added section below the table with the appropriate text and selected organisms.

e)  If necessary, the text populated in the Additional Official Phytosanitary Information Added section can be edited.

f) Click the Save button to save the AOPI text and return to the Additional Declaration screen with the Additional Official Phytosanitary Information section populated. This data is not editable.

 

9.To save the Additional Declaration text, click the Save button.

 

10.To abandon the Additional Declaration text, clear/delete the text from the editable text field and click the Save button.
