The items at the top of the Application Step by Step page can be accessed at any time while creating an application.

IMPORTANT NOTE:  You may enter application information in any order by selecting the links at the left of the screen; for example, you can enter commodity information then general information.  In this Help file, data entry into the Application Step by Step pages will be explained sequentially as if using the Next button.

 

To enter the general information for your application:

 

For Applicant Users and Applicant AE, applicant information is displayed automatically.  Skip to Step 5.

 

For Internal Users, complete the following steps:

 

1.Select an applicant for this certificate by clicking the Update button.
RESULT:  The Search Applicant Organizations page appears.

 

2.You may search for an organization to be assigned as the applicant.  The selected applicant will be charged the federal fee associated with the application.  See Certificate Fees for fee information.

 

3.Enter the organization/applicant name (or part of the name using wildcards "*") or the Org ID in the text box and click the Search button.
RESULT:  The organization(s) meeting the search criteria display the name of the Organization, Location, Contact Name, and Contact Number.

 

NOTE:  You can click the Show All button to expand the report list or click the Collapse button to shorten the list.

 

4.Click the Select button for the corresponding organization.
RESULT:  The General page reappears and displays the Applicant Name and Applicant Address.

 

5.Select the Exporter Name from the drop-down list.  You can update the Exporter Details by clicking the Update button.  If the exporter is not listed, create a new entry by clicking the Create Exporter button.

 

NOTE:  The Update button can only be used during the creation of a new application.

 

6.Select the Consignee Name from the drop-down list.  You can update the Consignee Details by clicking the Update button.  If the consignee is not listed, create a new entry by clicking the Create Consignee button.

 

NOTE:  The Update button can only be used during the creation of a new application.

 

7.Select the Requested Issuing Duty Station from the drop-down list.

 

8.You can also add information to the following optional fields: Reference Information, Import Permit Number*, and Comments.

 

*NOTE:  Please use a comma to separate multiple import permit numbers.

 

9.When you have completed entering your information, click the Next button.
